It has been such a pleasure to run Utah Motor News and serve numerous automotive and motorsports communities in Utah. There are tons of great people in auto, kart, motorcycle, and off-road vehicle racing, drifting, etc. I’ve loved getting to know many of you, have made great friends, and have consistently been treated well and assisted in my journalistic and motorsport endeavors at every turn. Hopefully this publication has made your life better in some way. It certainly has mine. 

Having said that, neither readership nor advertising revenue have grown much over the past four years, and it has become increasingly difficult to run Utah Motor News from southern Utah when most events are in northern Utah. Accordingly, 2026 is likely to be the final year of operation. The final events calendar (October) for 2026 has already been published, and this will probably be the final article. 

Thanks so much for your support and for passing on your knowledge of your motorsport. I wish each of our readers and contributors the best in your automotive and motorsport endeavors, and in your family and personal lives.
