Over September 5th – 8th, the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) hosted the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) National Championship races. That was a huge treat for local drivers and fans after an 11 year break. With the championships at home this year, lots of Utah drivers competed. Many did well against teams from all over the country. 

I recently got a brief test drive in the Lotus Emira, which Lotus claims is the last internal-combustion powered vehicle they will  produce. I also got to test the Lotus Eletre: the electric “hyper SUV” that heralds their future. 

So what were my impressions of the old and the new?

The first Utah REV Performance Track Day Event, offered at the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) on May 4, 2024, was a smash hit! Mike McGovern promised a comprehensive experience designed to take participants’ driving abilities to new heights, and he solidly delivered. As one of the 20 drivers participating, I know I loved it.
