Over September 5th – 8th, the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) hosted the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) National Championship races. That was a huge treat for local drivers and fans after an 11 year break. With the championships at home this year, lots of Utah drivers competed. Many did well against teams from all over the country. 

Where a typical National Auto Sports Association (NASA) race is up to 30 minutes, the July 27th Sunchaser Enduro was twelve times longer. It’s harder on drivetrains and on consumables like tires and brakes. You can actually see brakes glowing red, when it gets dark, on the faster cars. 28 cars started, but only 17 finished, this premier Utah motorsport event.

What major Utah race in July features temperatures that are actually dropping as the action heats up, and lets spectators in for free? It’s the Tooele Storage Sunchaser 6-Hour Enduro. Hosted by National Auto Sports Association (NASA) Utah, this thrilling race is run on the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) outer loop race course.
