School may be back in session, but Utah motorsports and car shows are still going strong in September.

Get ready for supercharged automotive excitement as FuelFest rolls into the Utah State Fairpark on Saturday, August 16th. FuelFest claims to be much more than a car show. Rather, it’s a full-blown festival of cars with a festival vibe.

Some amazing August automotive and motorsport events should help take your mind off the summer heat, or at least make it bearable. NASA Utah’s 6-hour Sunchaser automotive endurance race and Bonneville Off-road Racing’s White Knuckle 200 are always amazing. USBA superbike and UMCKC kart racing competition is fierce. Bonneville Speed Week and Bonneville motorcycle speed trials will be hosted at the Salt Flats. The Formula Drift Pro Series is also visiting Utah. Finally, there are multiple demolition derbies and dirt-track stock car races, plus amateur drifting, autocross, rallycross, and loads of car shows.

Some sponsoring organizations take July off, especially in the off-road racing community. Still, there are still lots of motorsport events in Utah and the surrounding area, including superbike racing, monster trucks, drift events, autocross, and of course lots of car shows.
